Everyday Women

We’ve become used to hearing stories of extraordinary black women who’ve broken boundaries and gone on to do great things. These stories are often so glamorised that they can sometimes become unrelatable to everyday women. As important as it is to celebrate these women at the point of their heroism, overlooking their trodden paths and challenges do a disservice to their journeys, making it harder for other women to learn the lessons and understand how to navigate their own passages.

The everyday black woman wants to be able to fully identify with the subject of a success story, to learn and grow. At CCN, we endorse the stories of everyday black women because all of our experiences are important and should be heard. We are not just about celebrating the few, but also the many.

The experiences of black women in the workplace touch so many corners; from bouncing back from adversity to spearheading headline cultural workplace changes, we have done it all. The ‘Everyday Women’ section of our central resource hub tells real life stories in their entirety. We feature stories within each of our keynote words; Restore, Empower, Achieve.

We intend to bring you hope, inspiration and encouragement to move you towards the success you deserve.

If you have a story to tell, please contact us and be part of lifting someone else today for a better tomorrow.
