Our Vision: Harnessing the power of our collective voice to bring about change
We want women of African and African-Caribbean diaspora descent of all ages to have more positive working life experiences and career success stories. It’s important for us to bring forth a strong and effective network of confident women from African and African-Caribbean diaspora descent in all walks of life. CCN seeks to create an environment of healing and empowerment. The celebration of successful black women is not always so easy to find in the workplace, although our value is unquestionable. CCN will provide a platform that elevates accessibility to role models to nourish and nurture the development of the everyday black woman and the next generation.
We ultimately want to see indisputable changes brought about by positively influencing the lives of such women, the culture in organisations/institutions they work, the government and other driving forces of inequalities for black women in our society.
Our mission: To create the space for black women to RESTORE, be EMPOWERED and ACHIEVE
Together, we are stronger. CCN seeks to offer support and celebrate the everyday woman from African and African-Caribbean diaspora descent by creating a network of such women supporting each other to THRIVE in their working life experiences. Collaboration is vital in these moments; we aim to connect and promote, on a central platform, services that support and empower women from African and African-Caribbean diaspora descent in the workplace. By connecting, we are creating a collective power that will bring us closer to seeing well overdue reforms.
